Sister
That looks just like the UHP I'm runnin' on a Stratoliner.
I want to compare the longevity to the TT that was on it.

Re: Lets see some Pics!
I have been riding on the darkside since 2002
But I ride dual dark on my rears
I love my GY TT... But when they get to around 35k they will start to hydro plane in deep water ..
But it is a blast ... When my Valk fish tails...

Re: Lets see some Pics!
Just a question for you Ladydraco, I have the GYTT on my 1800 and mounted it according to the direction of the rotation arrow on the tire and my rotation on the bike, it looks to be the opposite on your bike in the photo. Could this be part of your hydroplane issue? Here is a photo of my GYTT mounted.

Oh...Snap! You are correct! Ladydraco's tire is backwards!! The rotation is wrong.

Re: Lets see some Pics!
That's NOT the rear shot of my tire.. It's the front view...
The rotation arrow is going right...
I have a mud flap on the back end ,and you could NEVER see the tire..
If ya give it a better look you would understand all the white chips in the FRONT of the fender...
When they are NEW they stick like glue... That was a shot from two years ago... The tire is down to the wear bars now..
So there isn't much of the groves to move the water...

What sizes?
What size of tire are you all using??? That would be helpful. I am running a 150/70/17 VR rear Trail Wing Bridgestone rear tire on the front of my 1997 Valkyrie. So far after 400 miles or so I like it a lot and am looking forward to getting 25,000 miles on it. Breeze

Re: Lets see some Pics!
When this picture was taken the rear tire had about 65 miles on it ...I mounted it and took off for US 129 The Dragon to skuff it in. I've been ridin' the darkside since 1999 on this bike and now own ( 3 ) Valkyrie's the best cruiser EVER made IMO and all on the darkside.I don't run those high mile Grandma's Buick hard compound tires I get around 10,500 to 11,000 miles out of the Cooper Zeon 2XS and the Fuzion ZRi that's on my bikes now. Both are high performance directional thread patten and both stick like baby shit on a white blanket. I was getting around 5,000 to 6,000 miles on the rear when it had a motorcycle on it....The car tire gives me close to twice the mileage.
